To motivate staff, empower them! Give your employees more of a say in how they do their job. Be sure to offer them opportunities for advancement. Your employees will work harder if they know they are working towards something. Perhaps the most obvious is to offer incentives. It doesn’t have to cost a lot. A day off, gift cards or tickets to the movies are all appreciated. Lastly, communicate! If you’re nothing more than a name on an email, what motivation will your employees have to meet your goals?
