Start off by getting your operating procedures in order and sharing it with your virtual assistant. You could go one step further and share separate operating procedures for each of the recurring tasks. It’s important that you build a relationship with your VA. I can’t stress the importance of having regular team meetings via video conference. From day one of operations, agree with your remote employees on what your expectation is of them. Last but not least, if you find it hard to work with a virtual assistant, it’s probably not the right person for you.
